october

I could sit on this precipice forever
The never ending afternoons of glittered sunlight
Pressing breaths and emptied lungs
I can taste apprehension in the air
Reality submerged in echoing silence fringed with gold leaf
I inhale your smile
I inhale your uneven heartbeats
I inhale your laughter
And in rapturous harmony I am feel I am light reflecting in your crystal lovliness
And burst to a million confetti colored balloons
Rising like bubbles in the afternoon sun,
Whose colors paint your cheeks pink and blue and purple.
